Volunteer Opportunities

Give a little and get much more in return.

Lesser Slave River encourages residents to participate fully in the life of their communities by volunteering. Share your time and talents with one of the many municipal services, programs and not-for-profit organizations in the region. Whether you participate on community boards, assist with programs and lessons or support the Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service, your involvement makes a real difference in people's lives. In many cases, the potential exists to turn a volunteer opportunity into a career path.

Visit this section to learn more about volunteer opportunities as they occur. Volunteer jobs change with the seasons and as different programs are added, so if you don't find an opportunity that interests you today, please check back later.

Member-at-Large Vacancies

Get paid to represent the region.

Every October, Council holds an Organizational meeting and appoints Councillors and Members-at-Large to represent the Municipal District on various organizations within our region. Most appointments are for a one year term. Now, we are looking for residents to represent the Municipal District on a number of boards.
