The Lesser Slave Lake Regional Waste Management Services Commission is inviting written tenders for the Scrap Metal Purchase and Recycling.

Introduction:

Lesser Slave Lake Regional Waste Management Services Commission are requiring a contractor for scrap metal recycling and removal of Freon at the Regional landfill and in conjunction with the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River at three transfer stations.

Scope of Work:

Location of Work

  • Landfill- Wagner, Alberta (SW 13-73-7W5)
  • Transfer Station – Marten Beach, Alberta (754058 Northshore Drive)
  • Transfer Station – Smith, Alberta (1099 9 Street)
  • Transfer Station – Flatbush, Alberta (20041 TWP RD 660)

Type of Work

Seeking a qualified contractor interested in purchasing scrap metal for recycling and Freon removal.

Owner

Lesser Slave Lake Regional Waste Management Services Commission (LSLRWMSC) is defined as the Owner of this Work.

Work Included

Removal of Freon. The contractor shall be responsible for removal of Freon in the white metals that contain it.

Metal Recycling – Bailing and Hauling

The contractor shall be responsible for bailing and hauling of all metal goods out of the landfill including propane tanks, BBQ’s, cable, tubing, etc.

All materials shipped out will be weighed at the landfill scale.

The Bidder is responsible to supply all staff, equipment and materials to accomplish the work. Unless otherwise specified, the Bidder shall supply qualified, competent staff and equipment necessary to complete the work. A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool or incidental item not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the work, and no separate or additional payment will be made.

A pre-start up meeting is required to address program scope and safety items required from the successful contractor.

Tenders must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope plainly marked “Scrap Metal Purchase and Recycling”.
