Tracking Our Progress: Community Reports

Transparency is about more than just meetings and minutes; it’s about showing the work behind the scenes. The MD periodically releases community reports to provide a clear "report card" on the municipality's direction and growth.

These reports serve as a roadmap of where we’ve been and where we’re headed, featuring:

  • Strategic Priorities: Direct updates on how we are meeting the long-term goals set by Council.
  • Departmental Initiatives: A deep dive into the projects and programs being spearheaded by our hard-working MD teams.
  • Milestones & Achievements: Highlighting significant wins and completed infrastructure projects across the region.

To balance accessibility with fiscal and environmental responsibility, we typically produce these publications in limited print runs. While physical copies may be available at MD office locations while supplies last, our digital editions are always available right here. You can view them directly in your browser or download them for later reading.

Lakeside Leader Inserts

Keeping our residents informed is a top priority for the MD. To ensure you have access to the latest legislative updates, we feature a dedicated weekly insert in the Lakeside Leader. Beyond just keeping the community in the loop, our weekly insert serves two purposes:

  • Legislative Compliance: Under the Municipal Government Act, municipalities must publish official notices—such as public hearing dates, bylaw amendments, and development permits—in a local publication to ensure transparency.
  • Supporting Local: By partnering with the Lakeside Leader, the MD is proud to support a local business that provides an essential service to our region.
