MD Flags at Half Mast for Conner Lukan

MD Council and administration join the community at large in mourning the passing of Slave Lake native Conner Lukan. Conner was one of the fifteen victims killed in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash on Friday night in northern Saskatchewan.

In addition to hailing from Slave Lake, Conner was also a summer student with the MD. In fact, he would have been returning to a seasonal position with Lesser Slave River this summer. He is fondly remembered by his colleagues as a hard worker and a quiet, kind young man. His loss leaves behind a deep heartache that is felt by our entire northern community.

Flags across the MD have been lowered to half mast in observance of the passing this beloved Slave Lake son, and in mourning for his fallen Humboldt Broncos teammates, coaches and colleagues.

A memorial service for Conner will be held on Wednesday April 18th at 1:00pm at The Gathering Place with a luncheon to follow at the Multi Rec Centre in Slave Lake, Alberta. For more information, please visit the Northern Alberta Funerals website.
